RICOCHET Midi FX Plugin: Mash Buttons with Superhuman Speed
Trigger a midi note when you press a key, then retrigger it when you lift. (Optionally, you can add more repetitions.)
The concept is simple, but surprisingly powerful once you get it under your fingers. It opens up new performing possibilities. Like, playing a drum roll with a single finger. Or playing back-and-forth instruments like shakers, triangle, castanets. Or going berserk on a button-mashing-free-for-all.
The "ricochet effect" changes the feeling of performing, because you are playing in while simultaneously hearing and responding to the rebounding note. Think of it like dribbling a ball. Set the repetitions to three or four, and you can think of it like skipping stones across a pond.
With Ricochet in your toolbox, you're always one sustain pedal press away from fast doubles, triples, or a quick swarm of notes.

Additional controls over: Raising/lowering the velocity of each repetition, the number of repetitions (2-4), toggling the plugin on/off via mod wheel/sus pedal/midi cc, control active range (to filter out keyswitches).
Note: This tool isn't designed for drawing in notes on the grid. Think of it as a plugin for achieving an organic "played-in" feel.
Purchase includes: VST3/AU and Kontakt multiscript. Plugin loads as a mfx insert in Logic/Reaper. In Cubase, Studio One, load as a separate VST instrument then route to your instrument. Kontakt multiscript loads as an insert within Kontakt.
As with my other plugins, using the free midi capture tool NoteTaker, you can print the midi out to have complete control over the final output.
