The look and feel of the recently released Behringer Vintage has caused lots of confusion.
- We want to point out that Behringer Vintage is NOT a new version of Tone2 Saurus. Both products have a different sound engine and synthesis architecture.
- We are not involved in the development of Behringer Vintage.
- We are not responsible for the graphics, the sound engine, or anything else related to it. Behringer has not licensed graphics or source codes from us. We do not collaborate with Behringer in any way.
- We were not bought by anyone and have no plans to be bought by anyone.
- We are doing fine as a company. We do not go out of business
- We developed a synthesizer plugin called 'Tone2 Saurus' around 13 years ago. The most recent version is now 4.0 which is around one year old.
- This week Behringer released a plugin called 'Vintage'. Quite a few people were confused as the 'look and feel' of the interface was similar to Saurus. People falsely assumed that it would be a new version of Tone2 Saurus or falsely speculated that we collaborated with Behringer.
- Lots of confusion was the consequence
- We did not take legal actions
- Behringer has removed the plugin (not upon our request)
