Instruments • How Widely Is MPE Being Used in Music Production?

MPE (MIDI Polyphonic Expression) allows for more expressive control over synthesizers and other MIDI-compatible instruments. Some audio developers are still reluctant to implement MPE in their products, citing concerns about its compatibility and user base. However, I think there is a growing movement of musicians, producers, and sound designers who are passionate about the potential of MPE to revolutionize music production. Or perhaps I am mistaken.

I would like to conduct a poll to gauge the level of adoption of MPE among the KVR Audio community. Please forgive me if there's a similar poll already buried in the forum.

And if you have a moment to spare, I would appreciate your feedback by answering the following questions:

Do you currently use any MPE-compatible instruments?
If so, what MPE-compatible instruments do you use?
Which MPE controller are you using?
What is your overall impression of MPE?

I am fortunate to own a Linnstrument, and I can't imagine working without MPE anymore. Especially with expressive instruments like Objekt, Plasmonic or Dune 3.
I find it so frustrating that I have to use my Kontakt libraries without MPE, or configure Omnisphere with all sorts of workarounds to get it to work with my Linnstrument..
