Effects • Issue with loading Melda Production VSTs in Ableton LS 12

Hello,
I had run the Melda Production VSTs in Ableton 11 in the past with no issues, and now I am running ALS 12 (new laptop (bought it used, but fresh boot), mac OS running ventura 13.6.6). I installed the Melda Productions free VSTs and when I tried opening within Ableton I get this error:

Could not initialize the GUI subsystem.
Error: File "/Users/user/Library/Application Support/MeldaProduction/MAnalyzer/StyleSettingsV13.cfg" could not be created. Make sure there is no write-protected file already existing.

And after that a box pops up:
Could not load the required resources. The software hasn't been installed correctly. Please reinstall the software and contact our support if that doesn't help.



I have tried the following:
1. restarting the computer
2. installing with the MPluginManager, then uninstalling and trying with MAudioPlugins 13.06. Both led to the same issues
3. I went to the folders mentioned in the error to ensure that they are all read/write capable... the MeldaProduction folder is read/write enabled, but /MAnalyzer/. does not exist... I have the setting toggled to show hidden files.
4. I tried other VSTs that have GUIs (such as Valhalla)
