DSP and Plugin Development • VSTi/VST Chain like Live's Instrument/Effect Rack

I am looking to hire a VST plugin developer to help me create a "lightweight" VST3/AU plugin. JUCE would be the preferred framework (but this is not required). The plugin would acts as a lightweight “wrapper” for other VST plugins (so basically a subhost). Something that functions like Ableton Live's "Instrument Rack" and "Effect Rack" but in a VST format. The key here is ease of use - I teach music production and would like to be able to share my "chains" with my students no matter which DAW they use.

What I would like to do is have a plugin that can load in different VST effects into a “chain” that can be reordered and saved. These chains can then be saved/loaded across different projects, and even DAWs. The only controls would be the order of the signal path between the plugins loaded (so if I loaded a delay and then a reverb, the order could be switched), a Dry/Wet knob for each effect in the chain, and lastly the ability to mute/disable different VSTs in the chain.

There to be two versions of the plugin: one is a VSTi version that can host a virtual instrument with a chain of effects after, and the other is a VST version that only hosts a chain of effects.

There are a few options out there that do something similar, such as Blue Cat's PatchWork https://www.bluecataudio.com/Products/P ... PatchWork/ and KSHMR Chain https://www.excite-audio.com/kshmr-chain but I find these are too complicated for many people to use and they cost money. I am willing to pay for development but I plan to provide this plugin for free to people to enable cross-DAW collaboration and the sharing of chains between DAWs. Something similar to the Kiloheartz SnapHeap or MultiPass but with support for any VST/VST3/AU.

Features:
  • VST3/AU for Mac and Windows
  • VST and VSTi version (Instrument and Effect)
  • Save/Load plugin chains
  • Browser with folders for different kinds of chains (Instrument Chains, Vocal Chains, Guitar Chains, etc)
  • Plugins sortable by type (User can organize their plugins into categories like Reverb, Distortion Delay, EQ)
Feel free to DM me with a quote, or let me know if there is something out there already.
