I heard the original Regan Brown song once years ago, probably on Radio Free Texas, and it immediately stuck in my memory. I don't think it ever hit 1000 Youtube views, and now it's gone with only the Paper Moon Shiners cover there and well under 200 views, so it's pretty obscure. But releasing a new sample library, needing demos for it, and also rehearsing this song with a singer for what will hopefully be some live shows later this year has given me an excuse to produce this.
