Hardware (Instruments and Effects) • Help Needed: Roland Fantom-06 Integration with Logic Pro on M2 MacBook Pro

Hi everyone,

I'm having trouble integrating my Roland Fantom-06 with Logic Pro on my M2 MacBook Pro running macOS Sonomo. Initially, I connected the Fantom-06 via USB through an Acodot hub. It played notes in Logic Pro but couldn't control parameters like volume. When I pressed the DAW Control button on the Fantom-06, the screen displayed "Please connect to PC" even though it was connected.

I tried changing the USB setting to "Vendor." Logic Pro recognized it as a controller, but this caused the keyboard to stop functioning, even for note playback. I updated Logic Pro to version 11.0.1, but the issue remains. I ensured the latest drivers and firmware for the Fantom-06 (firmware version 1.05) and Logic Pro were installed and restarted my MacBook Pro multiple times.

The Fantom-06 appears under MIDI inputs but not under MIDI controllers in Logic Pro. I manually tried to add the Fantom-06 as a control surface, but it's not listed. I verified MIDI settings in Logic Pro, ensuring relevant ports (e.g., FANTOM-06 07 08 MIDI IN, FANTOM-06 07 08 DAW CTRL) are checked. I didn't test with a direct connection, a MIDI monitor app, or another DAW since I don't have those options.

Despite these efforts, the issues persist. I need help resolving the integration issues between the Fantom-06 and Logic Pro. Additionally, I want to know if it's possible to play sounds from Logic Pro using the Fantom-06 as an interface, so I don't need a separate interface during live performances.

My setup includes the Roland Fantom-06 (firmware version 1.05), an M2 MacBook Pro running macOS Sonomo, Logic Pro 11.0.1, and a USB connection through an Acodot hub.

I appreciate any advice or guidance you can provide!
