Just bought and sold a copy of an LP special w 2 p90s. Haven’t owned a p90 axe in along time. it was such a strange experience of a guitar for me and a big letdown .didn’t dig at all
I thought I had a big repertoire of songs but the only sounds I could get out of it that reminded me of anything were
The Who - The seeker on the bridge p/u
Robby Krieger of the Doors on the neck p/u
Blues /jazz on the neck p/u
Is it just me or is there more “famous” tones /songs/ guitarists that used this guitar type on record I don’t know of …. I can only think of Bob Marley .
The pickups had a very unique “bounce” to the pick attack I had forgotten. I felt like a newbie again playing it ..Really threw me off!
P90s are weird.
