Just reflecting on this.
What are some Tricky riffs that were Like “a-ha” moments and a sign of progression in your guitar playing abilities.
For me it was probably the opening riff of
Muse-‘plug in baby’.
When I got that down I was like - I’m basically Yngwie now![:tu:]( "Thumbs Up!")
Maybe Black Dog by Zep ( I am a god of rock now) and the smoke on the water solo also ( I’m a lead guitarist now)![:hihi:]( "HiHi")
More recently probably the Steely Dan kid Charlemagne solo was great to finally get that down under the fingers.
Also this topic could be “guitar pieces you are currently learning to hit a new benchmark” / “pieces you want to get to in the future”
