I’m loving the UAD/Brainworx guitar amp emulation of the Suhr SE100! I’ve recorded my amp directly with mixed results, but the DI into this seems really efficient and effective for a quick, usable tone in my recordings. I’m not a professional by any means, so take this with a grain of salt.
However, I noticed some gnarly high-end that needed some EQ’ing. 4k area… 2k area… High-end roll-off in general…
Is this supposed to be the case even with amp simulation plugins at such a high level as UAD? Or, am I doing something wrong?
Still, the tone is leagues better than what I was getting with my SM7B miking my cab in my basement.
