Hey everyone,
I've been exploring MPE (MIDI Polyphonic Expression) in Bitwig recently, and I'm curious about a couple of things:
Can I use MPE to control other parameters beyond pitch?
So far, I've been using MPE for expressive pitch control, but I'm wondering if it's possible to use the polyphonic data for other things, like modulating filters, effects, or even controlling parameters like panning or volume on a per-note basis. Has anyone tried this or know if it's doable?
Can I have multiple instances of MPE in the piano roll, each controlling different things?
Ideally, I'd like to have one instance of MPE controlling pitch and then another instance controlling something else (for example, one set of MPE controlling pitch bend while another handles per-note filter cutoff). Is this possible in Bitwig, and how do you go about setting it up?
Any tips or tricks for maximizing MPE's potential in Bitwig would be awesome! Looking forward to hearing how you all are using it.
