Ok, I hope I can explain this issue properly, and thanks in advance!
This function would be quite useful for me, and I was watching the video that explains how to do it.
What I want to do is turn a full drum loop into MIDI. Each drum voice, so that my end result would be a MIDI clip that duplicates what was played on the recorded drum loop.
If I watch that video, as far as I can see I need to do the procedure each time with a new track, and new instance of MultiSampler for every drum voice I want to extract. If you ask me, I should be able to do this procedure for the Kick drum, and then once that is extracted go back and do the same thing for the snare, and so on. But once the "create MIDI" function is used apparently I have to close it down and go back to the beginning of the whole process for the next drum voice.
Is that right? What a pain.
Also, when selecting which sounds from the loop to use each time you have to turn each transient off that you don't want converted- in other words, turn on all the Kick sounds in the loop and turn off all the snare sounds... BUT what I find REALLY irritating is that I cannot figure out how to turn one of them back ON again if you have turned it off! If you make a mistake and turn off something that you should have left on then you are screwed and have to start all over again! That is not mentioned in the video.
Help please.
